Our work with FTSE clients on large scale implementations means that we have a great deal of expertise in analysing and providing process improvements that add greater efficiencies to tax departments. This is done through robust best practice methodologies that provide clients with clear and concise initiatives producing tangible results. Our expertise extends to all the large source ledger data ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards and Microsoft Dynamics.

Along with being members of the Microsoft Partner and Empower ISV programs, Tax Automation are very proud of our association with Oracle, having recently achieved membership of the Oracle PartnerNetwork.

Our team are tax qualified, have Big 4 consulting backgrounds and have the commitment and passion for the tax technology market which is needed to assist our clients in managing their resources as expertly as possible.
Our management team are:

 Nigel Rainer

Nigel Rainer is a founder and our Technical Director. Nigel originally trained with Coopers & Lybrand and honed his skills in tax technology consulting in a variety of customer facing roles at PwC as well as Taxsoft and Tax Computer Systems.

A Chartered Tax Adviser and professional grade member of the British Computer Society, Nigel is responsible for application architecture and software development.

 Bryony Clinton

Bryony Clinton is a founder and our Commercial Director. Bryony trained at Ernst & Young where she ran the tax software education programme.

Following Ernst & Young, Bryony held customer focused roles at Taxsoft and Tax Computer Systems where she earned a reputation for providing focused, practical advice in all aspects of tax systems.

Bryony is responsible for all customer facing activities of Tax Automation.

 Donald Drysdale

Donald Drysdale is a Non-Executive Director and our Chairman. Donald spent 16 years as a tax partner at KPMG with a demanding client portfolio and senior management responsibilities. As the firm's UK Tax Technology Partner he chaired its Tax Technology Committee and played leading roles in its UK and international technology strategy groups.

He left KPMG to head National Tax Systems at Coopers & Lybrand, managing complex IT projects and leading a team of tax and IT specialists developing and supporting tax systems and software throughout the UK firm. After the merger with Price Waterhouse, Donald directed UK Tax Technology within PwC's Global Tax Technology group, representing the UK on the technology arm of PwC's International Tax Committee and holding relationship management responsibility for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Donald is also Assistant Director of Tax at The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, where he has been actively involved in negotiations with HMRC on tax e-services, OECD discussions on tax e-audit processes and debate surrounding XBRL and other IT developments of relevance to tax.

Donald was recently admitted as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners for his work as a freelance tax author.
