Tax Analyser™
Focusing on bridging between ledger systems and tax computations, Tax Analyser™
consists of the following elements: |
 |
|
A secure transaction database (the 'tax data warehouse') with features specifically
designed to facilitate the identification of tax sensitive transactions; |
|
Data can be added at any time – monthly data feeds allows the tax analysis to be
worked on throughout the year allowing a smoother work flow, and reducing the pressure
at year end; |
|
Tools and templates to allow data to be categorised and grouped for tax purposes.
Analysis of profit and loss account codes, capital allowance categories and balance
sheet items becomes as simple as opening the appropriate template view of the database; |
|
Tools to assist in identifying those transactions that require further tax
analysis. By automatically suppressing matching journals and transactions with
zero values Tax Analyser™ allows you to concentrate on the transactions that
matter; |
|
Query tools that allow ad hoc reports from the tax data warehouse to be retrieved
based on any criteria and any field in the database; |
|
Statistical and audit facilities to highlight possible data inconsistencies; and |
|
Automated data feeds from the ledger systems and automatic generation of
detailed accounts analysis schedules in Excel or a third party tax computation
package. Totals can also be transformed at this stage for example, to round
thousands or through a currency conversion factor. |

| For each transaction, the tax status can be set and additional information
recorded. |
 |
| Once you have categorised the ledger data, Tax Analyser™ will generate
linked spreadsheets summarising your account categories and their tax treatment for use
as the basis for your corporate tax computations. Alternatively schedules can be
posted directly to your tax computation engine. |
| Using the power of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and new technologies such as XML,
Tax Analyser™ is designed for use with large ERP systems such as SAP,
Oracle, PeopleSoft or Hyperion amongst others. |
